International Business

Globalization has been affecting not only big business but also all segments of economic activity.

After the initial apprehensions about the threats of globalization, the Indian industry has been quick to grab the opportunities internationally. Mergers, acquisitions and strategic alliances by Indian companies have redefined business boundaries.

Besides the software heavy weights several organizations in the automobile, healthcare, pharma steel and other manufacturing sectors have been riding the wave of internationalization.

This has magnified the threats as well as opportunities manifold. Students of management are therefore, required to have a deep understanding of the social, political, cultural and economic environments of the Global business. The skillsets required for  a Global Manager are much more  than those of a domestic manager.

This course aims to provide these skills required for managing business in the globalized environment.
